How Do The Five Elements Affect You?
The five elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. We all have these elements inside of us as energetic forces, but some of them are more prevalent than others. The elements are part of many ancient practices and philosophies.
So, how do the five elements affect you?
Five elements: Earth
This feminine element is about physicality, foundations, and safety (also connected with the Root Chakra and the Pentacles in Tarot). People with this prevalent element are rational, practical, and grounded. They like having a structure and routine, and they need nature to recharge. They may be too practical and skeptical at times.
Five elements: Water
This feminine element is about emotions, intuition, and the subconscious (also connected with the Sacral Chakra and the Cups in Tarot). People with this prevalent element are sensitive, emotional, and intuitive. They live in the flow and adapt easily to different people, environments, and circumstances. They may be too empathetic and emotional.
Five elements: Fire
This masculine element is about passion, action, and transformation (also connected with the Solar Plexus Chakra and the Wands in Tarot). People with this prevalent element are passionate, enthusiastic, and creative. They are often ambitious and take action to make their dreams come true. They may burn out or get angry easily.
Five elements: Air
This masculine element is about intellect and communication (also connected with the Heart Chakra and Swords in Tarot). People with this prevalent element are curious, social, and interested in many different subjects. They like learning about new things but often keep their interests at a superficial level. They may lack grounding.
Five elements: Ether
Ether is the invisible energy that is present in everything and connects us with the Source. This element is part of the three upper chakras: Throat, Third Eye, and Crown. It’s not present in Astrology, but it is present in Ayurveda in the Vata profile. In Tarot is not part of the suits, but you can think of it as the Hero’s Journey in the Major Arcanas.
Now you know how the five elements affect you. The objective is to balance these elements inside of us to make sure we are physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. The opposites are Earth VS. Air and Water VS. Fire.
When there’s too much Earth, it’s good to read and stimulate the intellect.
When there’s too much Water, it’s good to take action and move your body.
When there’s too much Fire, it’s good to slow down and connect with emotions.
When there’s too much Air, it’s good to ground yourself and connect with nature.
The five elements are at the core of my practice. I use them to read my clients, and these also represent the healing stages in my 1:1 programs. The five elements can help us heal and find more balance. I would be honored to guide you in this journey through the elements.
